The Very First.

Welcome to my very first blog post, within my very first blog. I wanted to take the time to introduce myself, and explain my vision for this space.

As you've probably already seen somewhere on social media or my website, my name is Ashley Line - I am a wife, a mother, and a photographer. I currently reside in Indianapolis, Indiana with my husband, our daughter Fiona and our German Shepherd, Ari (shoutout to those of you who might get the Entourage reference here). I serve Indianapolis indiana, and surrounding areas. I have a BFA from Herron School of Art & Design, and an extensive background in customer service. These both have served me well in my ability to provide my clients with exceptional service, and timeless images.

Things I love - big dogs, French fries, sushi, funny movies, UNSWEETENED iced tea, red wine, tequila, vintage items and good deals (in no particular order).

My husband and I met in December of 2012, promised to share our lives together in 2015, and welcomed our daughter in 2021. We enjoy taking Fiona & Ari to the White River near our house, spending time with our families, and traveling when we can (even if it's mostly for weddings!). On a Saturday night you'd probably catch us at home, because we have a toddler and swear by her 7:30pm bedtime.

I have amazing parents that live in town, so we get to spend a lot of time together. I have an incredible "little" sister that is doing her Pediatric Residency at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital (talk about perks!). I have had the same best friends pretty much my entire life because Quality > Quantity, always. (Shoutout to Kristina, Simona & Margo)

I have been photographing for many years, but things really took focus for me after my daughter was born. Motherhood has given me the direction, perspective, and clarity I needed to better serve my clients. I can better understand how fleeting time is. I truly realize now how easy it is to forget how tiny your baby was. I understand now how many phases of life you go through as a mother and wife raising your family - and I will be the first to admit that I didn't even listen to my own advice. I TRULY wish I had. I wish I had documented her tiny features. I wish I had hired someone to come into our home and capture life in that moment, to remind us of how wild and crazy, and full of love, our ride has been.

Now, I would also like to explain my vision for this blog, this space:

For now, I intend to feature my sessions here. With clients approval, I would like to tell their story. That is, after all, what they hired me to do with their photos. But I want to give you a glimpse even further beyond the final images, the behind the scenes instagram reel, etc. I would like for you to be able to get to know them like I did. To see what their session with me was like. Perhaps at some point this space will evolve, but for here and now - this is my plan.
